KS2 Class Teacher – 12‑Month Paternity Cover
Start Date: September 2026
Location: Hemel Hempstead
We are seeking a passionate, committed and enthusiastic KS2 Teacher to join our dedicated team on a 12‑month paternity cover, starting September 2026.

About the Role
As a KS2 Class Teacher, you will:
- Deliver high‑quality teaching that inspires, challenges and supports all pupils to achieve their very best
- Set clear boundaries and maintain high expectations of behaviour, effort and achievement
- Create a stimulating, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
- Support pupils’ academic progress while also fostering strong moral values, respect and positive attitudes to learning
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for all children
Contract Information
This role is expected to be offered initially as a long‑term supply position, paid in line with the Main or Upper Pay Scale, depending on experience. However, for exceptional candidates who demonstrate strong impact, commitment and alignment with the school’s values, there may be the opportunity for the role to be offered on a fixed‑term school contract. This will be discussed on an individual basis.

- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (ECTs are welcome to apply)
- Is an enthusiastic, reflective practitioner with a strong commitment to professional development
- Is a strong team player who contributes positively to school life
- Has excellent classroom management skills and consistently high expectations
- Believes teaching is about developing the whole child, not just academic success
